从解放后沿用的银元邮品看新中国航邮业务之开始 THE BEGINNING OF CHINESE PEOPLE’S POST AIRMAIL SERVICES AS SEEN BY SILVER YUAN POSTAGE

1948年4季度,有見于解放军将接管整个华北地区。国民党的2家航空公司(两航)——央航和 中航,迅速将其飞机和设施搬迁到长江以南。自1949年4月解放军在渡江战役胜利后,国民党 继续把各机场搬迁到广州和香港。1949年4季度,随着广州和西南地区解放,国民党的飞机和 设备几乎全部撤出了中国大陆。1949年11月9日,国民党两航公司的高管和技术人员,驾驶12 架飞机飞往北京。这次起义,极大地帮助了新中国建立起民航业务。因此,中国人民邮政的国 际航邮业务在1950年2月1日,而国内航邮业务也在1952年5月1日恢复。以下23个由刚解放地区 的银元航空实寄封,展示了人民邮政在如下情况下是如何启动航邮业务:-

During the 4 th quarter of 1948, realizing the PLA would rapidly take over the entire North China, the two KMT aviation companies, Central Air 央航 and China Air 中航, relocated their aircrafts and facilities to south of Yangtze River. Since April 1949, with the PLA’s victory in the Battle of Crossing the Yangtze, such relocation continued from various airport locations to Canton and Hong Kong. With the fall of Canton and South West region during the 4 th Quarter 1949, most if not all the KMT aircrafts and facilities had withdrawn from mainland China. On November 9 1949, senior executives and technical staffs of the two KMT aviation companies piloted 12 airplanes to Beijing. This insurrection helped PRC tremendously in establishing commercial air services. Consequently, the Chinese People’s Post officially commenced International airmail service on February 1 1950 and Domestic on May 1 1952. The 23 Silver Yuan postage airmail covers from the newly liberated areas displayed below, reveals how the Chinese People’s Post began airmail services, under the following circumstances: -
