Our community is unique! The events around the country and our community have created a strong bond among our law enforcement agencies, stronger than most in the Commonwealth and different. The common goal is serving the community. As a result of this leadership culture, our crime rates are low, and crimes are less malicious in nature. The leadership creates this culture at The Town of Blacksburg Police Department, The Town of Christiansburg Police Department, The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Virginia Tech Police Department. The leaders in these departments have high expectations and model positive leadership. They develop the core values, emphasize mission and vision daily. They hire based upon these very qualities.
