Jettys Journal -October 2019

Hello everyone and welcome to the October edition of the Jettys Journal. Well we are officially getting towards the end of the year. Halloween is on at the end of the month, would love to see some pictures of residents all frocked up. Please help us welcome our new residents at site 23. Kerry & Mandy, they have lived locally for years and have made the decision to move into Jettys and are loving it. Please say Hi if you see them around. Our boat near the front of the Village escaped from its ties and floated away – too damaged to be returned. Thankfully Luke from site 8 has supplied a new boat for our local birds to sit on and watch the world go by. He made such an effort to make the birds comfortable including adding perches and ledges for them to relax on. Thanks Luke! The Stage Curtains have been sent off for hemming, thank you ladies from the sewing room for pinning them up for us, unfortunately their sewing machines were not capable of sewing the material, so we should have them back shortly. Please keep an eye on the noticeboards for dates of tickets sales for the end of year activities, Melbourne Cup, Christmas Party etc. Tickets will sell out quickly – don’t miss out. Just a gentle reminder that cats need to be contained, just like dogs in the Village. Please make sure all cats are either inside your premises, tethered or contained to a cat run due to the lovely wildlife that we are lucky enough to have within Jettys. School holidays are upon us again so please be mindful or the extra little people around the Village at this time. Until next month, Jodie
