YOUTH PROGRAMS

Clay Teens (13-17 yrs) with Dawn Ingram Location: Cape Coral Art Center Students are taught how to use hand building techniques such as pinch, coil and slab to make projects using clay. Depending on age, wheel throwing may be taught as another technique to make work. Projects will be worked on through steps of construction towards the finishing steps with glaze. Clay, glazes and firing are included in the fee for the class. This class can be messy so students should dress accordingly. Eagles After Hours will operate within the Eagles Skate Park building (located next to the Youth Center) and is available for any participant enrolled in the Youth Center Afterschool Program and Eagles Afterschool programs. Participants will be supervised by DCF trained staff. The program fee does not give participants access to the Skate Park ramps. Children ages 2-7 will learn one passive sport and one active sport each week, with a total of ten sports taught in this monthly program. We focus on the fundamentals of each sport as well as learn about our muscles, body, and nutrition with our superhero family of characters. The Skate Park building has a pro shop plus free Wi-Fi and concessions, including soft serve ice cream. Helmet rentals are available.
