Ricky Recorder Issue No 50

The Ricky Recorder

Issue 50: July 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

A fantastic year at Rickmansworth School!

As another academic year passes, we have a great deal to be proud of.

and the future direction of the School. In the Governor’s feedback from the Chief Inspector, he said that ‘Rickmansworth School was enhancing the life chances of young people.’ By this he meant that our students were making more progress in all aspects of their lives at School and this was providing them with a better start in life than students elsewhere. This is a marvellous compliment to us all, and for me, as Headteacher, it is all I want to hear. We were all very proud of this and the approval rating parents gave the School via the Ofsted questionnaire.

We started the year with our best ever combined results at Key Stage 4 and 5. To put it in context, this has placed us in the top 15% of schools nationally, and in the top 10% of Hertfordshire Secondary Schools. Congrat- ulations to all those students and staff who jointly achieved these excellent results. Shortly following this in October, we were visited by Ofsted, which was an overwhelming success and endorsement of Ricky’s progress
