This event features reenactments based on Ulysses S. Grant’s march from Springfield to Naples, IL. Grant led the 21st Illinois Volunteer Infantry regiment on this march on July 3, 1861. The event also offers a free self- guided driving tour, old-fashioned root beer at the fairgrounds, home- made pies at Exeter Community Park, maps at every stop, and more. Held rain or shine.
