OCT MONTHLY FOCUS 2018
A NOTE FROM OUR GENERAL MANAGER, DAN BRADWAY
TABLE OF CONTENTS
It is hard to believe that fall is officially here. This has certainly been an unusu- al weather year. Lots of rain and high temperatures later in the season pre- sented challenges for our Grounds team, but they have done a fantastic job keeping the courses in the best playing conditions possible! There will be a lot of activity around the club in the upcoming months, and we will work hard to communicate everything that will be taking place. The large Annual Technology Conference will be hosted by the club again this year dur- ing the week of October 8 th and Member Dining will be at the Brantwyn Estate October 9 thru 12. Dining at the mansion is always so beautiful and we look

Starting October 14, and with much anticipation, the Member Dining area will be closed for refur- bishment. We expect the refresh of Member Dining space to take approximately 6-8 weeks and dur- ing that time we will be serving food in two rooms on the main level. The Wedgwood room will be reserved for finer dining and the Hagley Mill (home of the former Barley Mill Pub), will be set up with a Bar and TV’s for more casual fare. A calendar for dining during the renovations will be pub- lished weekly and monthly as the Wedgwood and Hagley Mill rooms will not be available on certain days due to previously scheduled events. We will also feature special dining events at Brantwyn and a special chef’s menu with wine pairings every Saturday night in the Wedgwood Room during this time. As we are all aware, the dining space is very dated and it will be very exciting to see the new look to go along with the fresh menu items the chef will be preparing! We truly appreciate everyone’s pa- tience and understanding as the work to improve the club progresses. During the construction, an important goal will be to minimize the impact to you the members and to communicate changes that will occur. Looking ahead we are planning a busy schedule of events for your enjoyment. We will be featuring great events such as a Winemaker Dinner, Halloween party, Prime Rib Nights, Holiday Brunches, Gingerbread house building along with fall events in Golf and Tennis. If you have not downloaded the DuPont County Club App, I encourage you to do so as it is a great way to stay informed about club activities and an easy way to make reservations. If you need any assistance with the app or website, please call our membership office on 421-1722 and we will be happy to schedule time to assist you. Now is an exciting time to be a member at the DuPont Country Club, and we have great fall mem- bership specials in place. We would love to show all friends and family the many planned upgrades at the Club and are happy to set up a tour to see the plans.
