Visual inspection of the goods in their unpackaged condition Before unpacking the received goods, you must visually inspect them while still in their packaging to check for any damage. In the event of claims against the delivering shipping company, it is essential to indicate any damage on the delivery note and to record this with photos. CB stone-tec must be informed immediately of any damage. Delivery The goods may have suffered damage during delivery even if the original packaging appears undamaged. Therefore it is important to thoroughly check the wood-burning stove and report any damages within one week of delivery. In the event of any visible damage to the goods or packaging, this must be indicated direc- tly on the transport document upon receipt of the goods. 1.2 Bauarten von Kaminöfen DIN 18 891 unterscheidet Kaminöfen der Bauart 1 und 2. Kaminöfen der Bauart 1 haben eine selbstschließende Feuerraumtür und dürfen an einen mehrfach belegten Schornstein angeschlossen werden. Aus Sicherheitsgründen muss die Feuerraumtür, mit Ausnahme der Bedienung, stets geschlossen sein. Kaminöfen der Bauart 2 müssen an einen eigenen Schornstein angeschlossen werden. Der Betrieb mit offenem Feuerraum ist unter Aufsicht statthaft. ALLE KAMINÖFEN VAIO ENTSPRECHEN DIN 18 891 BAUART 1. 1.3 Lieferung Während des Transports kann es zur Beschädigung der Ware kommen, auch im Falle, einer augenscheinlich unbeschädigten Verpackung. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass Sie den Kaminofen genau kontrollieren, und eventuelle Schäden innerhalb einer Woche der Spedition melden. Im Falle einer sichtbaren Beschädigung der Ware, oder Verpackung, vermerken Sie dies direkt bei der Warenübernahme auf dem Transportdokument. Unpacking All cardboard and plastic parts can be recycled. As none of the wooden parts are surface-treated, they can be used as fuel for your wood-burning stove. Please remove the packaging very carefully so that you do not damage anything. Before installing the wood-burning stove, make sure that the supporting structure of the base on which you wish to place it can withstand the weight of the wood-burning stove. Only approved transport aids with an adequate load bearing capacity may be used to transport your wood-burning stove. Do not stand on your wood-burning stove; it is not suitable for use as a lad- der or scaffolding. 1.4 Auspacken Alle Karton- u d Ku ststoffteile sind recyclingfähig. Bitte geben Sie diese Verpackungsteile in Ihre örtli he Wertstoff-Sammelstelle. Alle Holzteile sind nicht oberflächenbehandelt und können als Heizmaterial für Ihren Kaminofen verwendet werden. Entfernen Sie die Verpackung bitte sehr vorsichtig, damit Sie nichts beschädigen. Überzeugen Sie sich vor dem Aufstellen, ob die Tragfähigkeit der Unterkonstruktion dem Gewicht des Ofens standhält! Für den Transport Ihres Kaminofens dürfen nur zugelassene Transporthilfen mit ausreichender Tragfähigkeit verwendet werden. Stellen Sie sich bitte nicht auf Ihren Kaminofen; er ist nicht als Leiter oder Standgerüst geeignet. Basic installation requirements Your neocube wood-burning stove must be installed by a skilled

technician. Before installing your neocube wood-burning stove, you must contact your authorised local chimney sweep to discuss the suitability of your chimney system, the site of installation and any other questions. Wood-burning stove design types DIN 18 891 distinguishes between wood-burning stoves of design type 1 and 2. Wood-burning stoves of design type 1 are fitted with a self-closing fire compartment door, and may be connected to a chimney with multiple connections. For safety reasons, the fire compartment door should always remain closed except when starting operation. Wood-burning stoves of design type 2 must be connected to one chimney. Opera- tion the stove with the fire compartment open is permissible under supervision - 2 - 1.5 Zulässige Brennstoffe Zulässige Brennstoffe sind Scheitholz mit einer Länge von 33 cm und einem Durchmesser von 10 cm, sowie Holzbriketts nach DIN 51731 HP2.

Supply of combustion air The wood-burning stove may only be installed in rooms with a sufficient supply of combustion air. This is ensured in rooms with at least one door or window leading to the outside that can be opened, or in rooms that directly or indirectly interconnect with other rooms, forming a combustion air unit with them. Such a unit only comprises rooms in the same residential or other unit.

In the case of a new, insulated house, and particularly in houses with a mechanical ventilation system, it is important to supply enough combustion air. The wood-burning stove has a central connection used to supply enough air directly to the combustion process. This means that you can provide air via a connection pipe. The air supplied in this way can be directly controlled on the stove using the combustion air slider.

The diameter of the external combustion air supply connector on all neocube models is 125 mm.

Approved fuels Approved fuels include firewood with a length of 33 cm and a diameter of 10 cm, and German DIN 51731 HP2 standard wood briquettes. Only air-dried firewood may be used. The burning of waste, particularly plastic, is strictly prohibited by the German Federal Emissions Protection Law. This will also damage the fireplace and chimney. Air-dried fi- rewood with a maximum water content of 20% is achieved with a drying time of at least one year (softwood) or two years (hardwood). Wood is not a continuously burning fuel which means that you cannot use wood to keep the fireplace heated over night. Fire safety It is important to make children aware of the dangers of fire and to keep them as far away as possible when lighting the wood-burning stove. When heated, the surface of the wood-burning stove and the operating elements, in particular the glass pane and flue pipe, can become extremely hot. Never touch these com- ponents without wearing appropriate protective clothing or using auxiliary aids such as a heat-protective glove. Never leave washing or other objects to dry on the wood-burning stove. Placing non-heat-resistant objects on or near the stove is prohibited. Clothes dryers for drying items of clothing or similar must be positioned at a sufficient distance from the wood-burning stove. Burning or placing highly flammable or explosive materials such as empty aerosol cans and similar in the fire compartment or storing them in the immediate vicinity of your heating device is strictly prohibited due to the risk of explosion. When adding more wood to the stove, do not wear loose or highly flammable clothing. When starting your wood-burning stove, the handling of highly flammable and explosive materials in the same or neighbouring rooms is pro- hibited...

2. General warranty conditions

General information This is a state-of-the-art, high-quality product. The materials used have been carefully selected and, along with our entire production process, remain under constant surveillance. Special expertise is requi- red to install or remove this product. Therefore, our products may only be installed and put into service by specialist companies in accordance with the relevant legal provisions. Warranty period The general warranty conditions apply within the European Union. The warranty period and scope of war- ranty are provided within the framework of these conditions in addition to the statutory warranty period which remains unaffected. CB stone-tec provides a two-year warranty for the basic body of the neocube wood-burning stove. CB stone-tec also provides a two-year warranty for the ceramic components, and a six-month warranty for the grate, gaskets and glass ceramics. Prerequisite for effectiveness of the warranty The warranty period starts from the date of delivery to the neocube dealer. Proof of this must be provided by the certificate or invoice with the neocube dealer’s proof of delivery. The product’s warranty certificate must be submitted by the claimant to validate the claim. Without furnishing this proof, CB stone-tec shall have no warranty obligations. Repairing defects/maintenance Irrespective of the statutory warranty which takes priority over the warranty within the statutory warranty periods, within the scope of this warranty, any defects which have been demonstrably caused by material or manufacturing defects shall be repaired free of charge, and the remaining conditions of this warranty shall be met. Within the scope of this warranty, CB stone-tec undertakes to either repair the defect or to replace the device free of charge. Repairing the defects shall take priority. This warranty does not explicitly include further compensation for damage which is excluded over and abo- ve the statutory warranty. Extending the warranty period If a warranty service is claimed, whether this be to repair a defect or to replace a device, the warranty period for the exchanged device/ components shall be extended. Replacement parts If any replacement parts are required, only replacement parts produced or recommended by the manufac- turer may be used. Liability Damage and claims for damage which do not result from a CB stone-tec device delivered with defects shall be excluded and are not covered by this warranty. This excludes statutory warranty claims where these exist on a case-by-case basis. Final note Your specialist dealer/contracting party will gladly offer you advice and support about these warranty condi- tions and promise of warranty. It is strongly recommended to have your chimney system and wood-burning stove regularly inspected by a stove fitter.

Warranty exclusions The warranty does not cover: ƒ ƒ Wear and tear of the product

ƒ ƒ Fireclay/vermiculite: these are natural products which are subject to contraction and expansion du- ring each heating process. This can lead to cracks. As long as the linings remain in position in the fire compartment and do not crack, these products are fully functional. ƒ ƒ Surfaces: discolouration of the paintwork or galvanised surfaces caused by thermal loads or overload ƒ ƒ Gaskets: loosening of the gaskets due to thermal loads and hardening. ƒ ƒ Glass ceramics: soiling by soot or encrusted residues of burnt materials and colour changes or other visual changes caused by thermal load.

ƒ ƒ Incorrect transport and/or incorrect storage ƒ ƒ Improper handling of fragile parts such as glass ƒ ƒ Improper handling and/or use ƒ ƒ Insufficient maintenance ƒ ƒ Incorrect installation or connection of the device ƒ ƒ Failure to observe the operating and installation instructions ƒ ƒ Technical changes to the device by parties from outside the company ƒ ƒ Increased heat stress due to excessive quantities of wood

3. Safety instructions (please read, extremely important!!!)

ƒ ƒ Read the instructions for use carefully before using the stove for the first time. They contain informati- on on how to use the stove safely. ƒ ƒ Always use a protective glove to open the door!!! This allows you to add wood to the fire even though the handle is hot. When starting up the stove, only touch the device when wearing a protective glove!!! ƒ ƒ Regularly check that the stove is connected to the chimney in accordance with the regulations. ƒ ƒ When in operation, the surface of the stove heats up to very high temperatures. Supervise children playing near the stove. Small children are at particular risk and must be kept away from the stove. ƒ ƒ Always keep the door to the fire compartment closed even when the stove is not in operation (except when lighting it).Vermeiden Sie eine Überlastung des Ofens durch eine allzu große Brennstoffmenge. ƒ ƒ Do not overload the stove with excessive quantities of fuel. ƒ ƒ Never use alcohol, petrol or other unsuitable flammable substances to light the stove. ƒ ƒ Make sure the ash pan is never completely filled with ash as otherwise the air supply for the stove would be insufficient. ƒ ƒ Always push the ash pan right up to the limit stop. ƒ ƒ Ensure that there is a sufficient supply of fresh air for the stove to draw in. The stove requires oxygen to function. ƒ ƒ Do not forget that an operating kitchen ventilator in the same or an adjacent room generates suction pressure. This can cause smoke to be drawn into the room. Make sure that a sufficient supply of com- bustion air is available ƒ ƒ Never remove hot ashes. Store the ashes in a fire-resistant, non-flammable container. ƒ ƒ Do not store flammable liquids near your wood-burning stove. ƒ ƒ Make sure that no flammable materials are placed near or on the stove. ƒ ƒ Keep flammable items away from the stove’s range of thermal radiation.

6. Installing the wood-burning stove

Requirements concerning the site of installation The wood-burning stove may only be installed in rooms and places where, according to the position, struc- tural circumstances and type of use, no hazards will occur. To ensure correct operation of the wood-burning stove, the area around the site of installation must be appropriately designed and large enough to ensure an adequate inflow of air for combustion . When installing the wood-burning stove, the building regulations and fire protection regulations of the country of use must be observed. Your authorised local chimney sweep can provide you with the neces- sary information about this. He will also provide you with the approval for the connection to the chimney. Your wood-burning stove corresponds to design type 1. This means that several stoves of this type may be connected to one chimney. The chimney is assessed in accordance with DIN 4705 part 1 or part 2. The trip- le-point values required for this purpose can be found in the technical data for the individual types. The connection to the chimney must be carried out professionally, taking into account the requirements from DIN 18 160. Make sure that the installation surface is firmly secure with respect to fire safety. The load-bearing capacity of the installation surface must be verified, taking the weight of the wood-burning stove into consideration. Notifying the authorities Before installing a new chimney flue, you must notify the competent authorities of the building work. The building authorities will provide you with more precise information Inspections After completing the installation of your wood-burning stove, your authorised local chimney sweep (in Ba- varia, this also includes registered specialist companies) must always inspect your work before you are allowed to light the stove for the first time. This applies regardless of whether you have connected the stove to an already existing chimney flue or whether you have installed a completely new flue. Chimney flue The diameter of the flue must be at least 150 mm. If you intend to connect your stove to an existing flue installed in your house, ask a chimney sweep to inspect

the flue so that he can suggest any possible renovation work that may be required. The connection pipe must be approved for a minimum smoke temperature of 350°C.

Flue pipe Flue pipes represent a particular source of danger with regard to leaking toxic fumes and the risk of fire. You must seek the advice of a licensed specialist company concerning their assembly and installation. When connecting your flue pipe, follow the appropriate installation guidelines in areas which have wood panelling on the walls.

Unpacking the goods When unpacking the goods, make sure that your cutting tools (blades, cutting knives, scissors, etc.) do not cause any damage. Transporting the components to the site of installation ƒ ƒ When transporting the goods, make sure that your hands/gloves are clean. ƒ ƒ Never place the ceramic elements near sharp edges or corners. ƒ ƒ Never push or pull the ceramic elements along the floor or ground (risk of scratching). ƒ ƒ Always carry the ceramic elements to the site of installation, never use carts etc. to transport them. ƒ ƒ The heating technology should only be transported in the upright position or slightly tilted on its back; never pick it up from the door side. ƒ ƒ Only transport the heating technology with the fire compartment door closed.

Before starting the installation, remove the ash pan cover from beneath the grating in the fire compartment. This cover is required for removing the ash pan. The cover should not be fitted on the ash pan when starting the fire.

The following pictures of the detailed assembly steps are shown on an S10 model.

1 Unpack the heating insert/disassemble the rear panel

Carefully unpack the heating insert and transport to the site of installation. To start with, lift off the steel rear panel. To do so, remove all four Allen screws (4 mm Allen key).

Preparing the connections

If a connection for the combustion air and/or for the flue pipe is required, knock out the pre-perforated holes in the steel rear panel.

Before carrying out steps 3 and 4 above, unscrew the flue pipe connec- ting piece at the required outlet and use the blind cover to close off the unused outlet.

Rear flue pipe outlet (Ø 130 mm)

In the case of a rear flue pipe outlet, first insert the flue pipe into the wall lining. Then push the steel rear panel over the flue pipe. When doing so, wedge a piece of cardboard, for examp- le, between the flue pipe and the steel rear panel to prevent scratches (see arrow). The heating insert can then be pushed back and the flue pipe outlet created.

Top flue pipe outlet (Ø 130 mm)

In the case of a top flue pipe outlet, first place the top plate on two spacers with a height of approx. 10 cm. Attach the flue pipe to the flue pipe connecting piece through the top plate. The heating insert can then be pushed back and the flue pipe outlet created.

Do not touch the spacers until the covering has been completed.

External combustion air connection (Ø 125 mm)

If an external combustion air connection is required, this can either be connected at the rear or at the bot- tom. In the case of a connection at the rear, this must be connected through the steel rear panel (see figure 1). In the case of a connection at the bottom, feed the AluFlex pipe through the centre of the base plate (see figure 2).

Installing the baffle plate

Mount the baffle plates as shown in the illustrations.

Aligning the heating insert

After all the connections and baffle plates have been mounted, place the heating insert into the water, using a spirit level to adjust the feet. When doing so, check the alignment at the front and sides (see illustrations).

Installing the lower ceramic element

Carefully lift the lower ceramic element onto the base plate and push back evenly. Position it so that the ele- ment is flush with the frame to the left, right and front.

Attaching the lower ceramic element

A bolt with a nut has been pre-mounted on the right and left insides (at the rear) of the cover elements. In the mounted state, this fits in a bracket which is used to attach the cover element by tightening the nut. When the element is correctly positioned, on the inside of the reverse side, screw down the bolts on the right and left side of the rear panel.

Installing the upper ceramic element

Carefully lift the upper ceramic element onto the base plate and push back evenly. Position it so that the ele- ment is flush with the frame to the left, right and front.

A bolt with a nut has been pre-mounted on the right and left insides (at the rear) of the cover elements. In the mounted state, this fits in a bracket which is used to attach the cover element by tightening the nut. When the element is correctly positioned, on the inside of the reverse side, screw down the bolts on the right and left side of the rear panel.

Installing the steel rear panel

After both cover elements have been mounted and fi- xed in place, the steel rear panel can be screwed back onto the heating element using the four Allen screws.

Installing the top plate (rear outlet)

In the case of a flue pipe with a rear smoke outlet, the top plate can be placed on top of the heating insert. When doing so, make sure that the four bolts provided are fed through the designated holes in the top plate.

In the case of a flue pipe with a top smoke outlet, the spacers must first be removed before carefully pla- cing the top plate on top of the heating insert (without scratching the flue pipe). When doing so, make sure that the four bolts provided are fed through the desig- nated holes in the top plate.

Heating the stove for the first time When the stove is heated for the first time, the paint on its surface hardens. For this reason, the door and ash drawer should be opened very carefully to prevent the gaskets from sticking to the paint. The paint may also give off an unpleasant odour, therefore you must make sure that the room is well ventilated. Approved fuels neocube wood-burning stoves are EN approved in accordance with standard regulations for burning wood only. We recommend using dried wood with a maximum residual moisture content of 18%. If wood with a higher moisture content is used, this can result in the accumulation of soot, harmful emissions and ineffi- cient fuel economy. We advise purchasing a hygrometer to regularly check that the firewood has the correct moisture content before burning it. Note: Wet wood results in inefficient combustion and in the production of soot. In addition, a great deal of energy is used to dry the wood rather than heat the room. Recommended types of wood Types of wood such as birch, beech, oak, elm, ash, conifers, and fruit trees can be used as fuel for this stove. The difference between the different types of wood is not in the fuel value, but in the weight per unit volume. Since beech weighs more per cubic metre than the same amount of common spruce, it takes more com- mon spruce to produce the same amount of heat that would be produced from one cubic metre of beech. The primary air is used to regulate the supply of combustion air which is drawn from underneath, over the ash pan and grate towards the fuel. Therefore, you must make sure that the ash pan is never completely filled with ash, as the ash could block the influx of combustion air. The secondary air controls the quantity of air necessary to burn mainly the flammable products that are ge- nerated in the combustion compartment during the burning of wood. Some of the secondary air that flows from the top to the door minimizes soiling of the glass (cleaning of the door by air). As soon as the stove is heated up after starting the fire, close the primary air supply (lever in the middle).. When the oven is not in operation, position the lever to the left – primary and secondary air closed.

Banned fuel types Do not burn the following materials on your stove:

• printed paper • chipboard • plastic • rubber • flammable liquids • rubbish such as milk cartons • painted, varnished or waterproof timber

Burning of these materials is prohibited because during combustion, they develop substances that are harmful to health and the environment. These substances could also damage your wood-burning stove and chimney, invalidating the warranty. Storing the wood A water content of maximum 18% can be achieved by storing the wood outdoors under cover for at least one year (or preferably two). Wood stored indoors can become too dry and therefore burn too quickly. However, this does not apply to kindling wood which should be stored indoors for a few days before use.

Long burning time After heating up the stove, you must make sure that the flames are kept alive in the stove. If this is not the case, the air supply has been reduced too far and you must turn the handle to the right, to increase the supply of air. The slowest burning time is achieved by positioning the lever in the middle. After adding more wood, push the lever to the right to allow primary air to flow into the stove so that the wood can burn. Insufficient heating If the fireproof materials in the combustion compartment are blackened after a fire, there is a risk that the stove will become polluted. Therefore, the supply of air must be increased by pushing the lever further open to the right. Add a little wood at a time The best combustion is achieved by adding small quantities of wood. If you use too much wood, it takes too long to reach an optimum combustion temperature. Make sure that there is a sufficient supply of air You must also make sure – especially when heating the stove at the start – that there is plenty of air so that the temperature in the stove rises quickly. In this way, the fumes and particles that are also released during combustion will be burned. Otherwise, they will cause soot to build up in the chimney, leading to the risk of a chimney fire, or will be released into the environment as harmful emissions. If an incorrect amount of air is supplied, this leads to inefficient combustion and therefore to a lower level of efficiency. Heating over night Before going to bed at night, you should not add more wood to the stove and then close the air supply. If you do so, large amounts of hazardous smoke will be emitted. In addition, soot will be deposited on the chimney, leading to the risk of a chimney fire. Maximum amounts of wood Maximum quantities of fuel to add: Wood: 2.1 kg/hour Adding larger quantities of fuel could lead to overheating and cause damage to the stove, invalidating the warranty.

How to make a fire correctly ƒ ƒ Prepare everything you need for heating the stove – softwood chips, firelighters (e.g. CB firelighters), firewood. ƒ ƒ Open the primary and secondary air supply to the maximum (lever to the right) ƒ ƒ Open the stove door ƒ ƒ Place two to three firelighters on the bottom of the combustion compartment. Place a handful of softwood chips on top. Place one or two pieces of wood on top of this. ƒ ƒ Then light the firelighters. Close the fire compartment door. ƒ ƒ When the wood is burning well, you can control the heating effect with the air slider (lever to the right = max. heating effect) ƒ ƒ When adding more wood, proceed as when heating for the first time: Open the air slider, carefully open the stove door, add wood, close the door. ƒ ƒ Wait until the wood that you have added starts to burn. ƒ ƒ Then control the heat effect with the air slider

Heating during the transitional phase If the stove is heated during the transitional phase, i.e. when outdoor temperatures are higher, a sudden increase in temperature can cause disturbances in the chimney draft so that the heating fumes are not fully drawn off. In this case, the fireplace must be filled with smaller quantities of fuel and operated with the primary air slider/regulator so that the existing fuel burns more quickly (and flames are produced), thereby stabilizing the draft in the chimney. Ending the heating phase When the fire has burned down to the embers, close the combustion air slider. The wood-burning stove will continue to emit heat for a long time. Otherwise, the stove will cool down too quickly due to the flow of (cold) fresh air, i.e. the thermal energy will escape through the chimney. Chimney fire If the incorrect type of fuel, or fuel that is too damp, is used, the build-up of soot in the chimney can cause a chimney fire. Clause all air vents on the stove and call the fire brigade immediately. After the chimney fire has burned out, have the chimney checked for cracks and pressure tightness by a specialist.

10. Cleaning

Cleaning must only be carried out after the wood-burning stove has completely cooled down.

Cleaning the glass Wood-burning stoves are designed so that the supply of secondary air also serves to clean the glass. When the stove is operated correctly, the glass generally remains clean. However, a fine layer of soot can often not be avoided if poor quality fuel (damp wood) is used or the supply of combustion air is insufficient. Only clean the glass when the stove has cooled down. To do so, use a damp piece of paper dipped in ash. This will enable you to remove any soot from the glass panel. Then moisten a clean piece of paper and wipe the glass panel clean. The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any damage caused by the use of aggressive chemical substances.

To clean the glass panel on the inside, simply open the fire compartment door (see illustration on the left).

Clean the painted surfaces with a soft, dry cloth – do not use abrasive cleaners, degreasing agents, damp cloths, etc. under any circumstances. Remember that, despite being painted, the wood-burning stove is not rustproof .

Emptying the ash pan Please note that burning embers can remain in the ash pan for several days after the fire has gone out. Therefore, only empty the ashes into non-flammable containers! To empty the ash pan, fold the grate upwards using the hook supplied. Then close the ash pan with the ash pan cover and lift it up and out. After emptying the container, put the ash pan back in place, unlatch and remove the cover and fold the grate back down.

Cleaning the ceramic cladding Ceramic is not porous or open-pored like natural stone for instance. Therefore, impurities or strongly co- loured liquids cannot seep into the surface. The CB cleaning agent facilitates maintenance and provides your ceramic cladding with optimum protection from soiling.

Notes: Do not use strong acids (e.g. hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, ammonium fluoride) or strong alkalis (e.g. caustic soda, potassium hydroxide). Use a solvent-free dirt eraser on the smooth surfaces to remove any residual dirt that cannot be removed with a sponge.

11. Maintenance

Maintenance work must only be carried out after the wood-burning stove has completely cooled down.

General Maintenance work must only be carried out when the wood-burning stove is cold. A minimum of daily maintenance/cleaning of the wood-burning stove is required. It is best to use a vacuum cleaner with a small mouthpiece and a soft brush to vacuum the outside of the wood-burning stove or clean it with a soft, dry cloth or soft duster. You can also dust the wood-burning stove with a soft, dry cloth or a soft hand brush. But remember only to do so when the stove is cold. Do not use water, alcohol or any cleaning agents as this will damage the paint. Maintenance The wood-burning stove should undergo a thorough inspection at least every two years. The inspection includes: • Thorough cleaning of the wood-burning stove. • Checking the gaskets and replacing them if damaged or no longer soft. • Checking the firebrick lining in the combustion compartment. • Checking the design type (only in certain countries). • Checking the bottom of the combustion compartment. • Hinges and locking hooks must be lubricated with copper grease (heat-resistant up to 1100°C)..

Maintenance must be carried out by a qualified installer. Only use original replacement parts.

12. Operational disruptions

Sooty glass • Wood is too damp. Only use wood that has been stored under cover for a minimum of twelve months with a moisture content of approx. 18%. • The door gasket may not be properly sealed.. Formation of smoke when opening the front door • The throttle valve in the chimney may be shut. Open the throttle valve. • No draft in the chimney. See the section describing the chimney or contact your local chimney sweep. • The cleaning door is not properly sealed or has fallen out. Replace or re-install. • Never open the door when there are flames. It is not possible to regulate the heating • The door or ash pan gasket is not properly sealed. Replace the gasket. • If the draft is too strong in the chimney, the regulating rod may need to be closed. If the stove is not in operation, close the regulating rod. • If the steel panels are burnt or deformed, the stove is not heating correctly. Stop using the stove and contact your specialist.

Poor draft in the stove • Is the chimney too low or the cross-section unsuitable? • Is the chimney or the flue pipe not properly sealed? • Is the door open on another stove leading to the same chimney? Difficult to make the fire in the wood-burning stove • Is the room too big for the stove? • Is the ash pan full? • Is the smoke outlet blocked? • Are the combustion air controls closed? • Is the stove connection to the chimney properly sealed? Stove emits too much heat • Are the combustion air controls fully open? • Is the stove door closed correctly? • Is the ash pan fully closed? • Is there too much fuel?
