1997 wee TOURNAMENT LMU HOSTS SECOND LA-BASED CHAMPIONSHIP Loyola M arymount hosts the 11 th annual West Coast Conference Basketba ll Champ ionships, the first time the event has been to the Los Angeles area since 1990. This is only the third WCC tournament wh ich has taken place outside the Bay Area (LMU 1990, Portland 1991 ). All eight men's and women 's teams take part in the event wi th the survivors earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championsh ips.
