Ulster Rugby v Wasps

whole team, making sure the team focus is right up there where it needs to be and making sure everyone is primed and ready to perform at the top level. “The fact that we have such an experienced team, with serious quality littered throughout the squad helps somewhat as I’m never without knowledgeable support but overall, the opportunity to captain has been a great experience. It would be nice to have someone as influential as Rory back though, so we look forward to his return. “In general, I’ve had a great start to the season. I’m just delighted to be getting plenty of game time, there is such a competitive back row so just to be able to get that shirt is great. For me it’s just about trying to maintain a level of performance and consistency that I can keep hold of the shirt.” Ulster’s new coaching structure has been in place and put to the test throughout a busy September and while there are still some glitches to be iron out Henry is confident that they are through the worst of it and he looks forward to the coming rewards. “The new coaching set up is a really nice balance. The coaches all get on well, they all have a common goal and that filters down to the players so at the moment, it’s been a really nice. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been challenging, they make us work hard but the sessions are really enjoyable. “They [the coaches] have prepared us extremely well and, as players, we take a lot of confidence in being well prepared. Certainly, every time we’ve gone out at the weekend we know exactly our game plan, we know exactly what we’re trying to do. The structures both in attack and defence that the coaches have been trying to implement on us are really starting to show and the rewards are only going to get better.” Both Ulster and the Wasps are equally determined - Ulster to avenge their pre- season defeat on home ground and Wasps to reclaim their winning ways after a string of disappointments dealt to the injury-ravaged squad. While the outcome of tonight’s fixture remains uncertain, Henry is sure that you are

in for a great show and even though he will not be joining the starting line-up he still has an important part to play in tonight’s result. “We’re really close as a group and fighting hard for each other. That is building a real nice team spirit and I think team morale at the moment is the best it has been for a few seasons. Everyone on the squad is digging in, even if you don’t getting the go at the weekend, the boys all get stuck. No matter who is on the pitch we are all focused on getting the team match-ready. So when the players leave the pitch tonight they know that everyone, those on the field, those on the bench and those cheering from the sideline, every team member has given their everything to the game and that’s all you can ask for.”
