The Colorado cowboy is leading the Mountain States Circuit in bull riding, and his goal is to qualify for next year’s RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Kissimmee, Fla.

BY TRACY RENCK D illon Tyner knows his place in rodeo – he’s a circuit cowboy. That’s how it must be for Tyner as he runs his own business – Tyner Bros. Fencing – and he and his wife, Sierra, raise their first child, a girl, Tinsley, born April 16. “That was an awesome experience to see my wife have a baby girl,” Tyner said. “That’s the best thing that has ever happened to me, and it has been an adventure since.”

Despite his busy schedule, Tyner still finds time to quench his rodeo thirst as a bull rider. “When you get a bull ridden, it’s the best feeling in the world,” said Tyner, 27. The Eaton, Colo., cowboy has had a strong start this year. He’s leading the Mountain States Circuit standings with $3,965. Tyner’s big jolt in the standings came in January at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver. He won the second round with an 89-point ride on Summit Pro Rodeo’s Grey Denim and earned $3,799 for his eight seconds
