AOAC INTERNATIONAL Stakeholder Panel for Infant Formula and Adult Nutritionals (SPIFAN) 2020 “Virtual” AOAC INTERNATIONAL Annual Meeting & Exposition 2275 Research Blvd. Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20850, USA STAKEHOLDER PROGRAM - DRAFT MEETING AGENDA Thursday, September 10, 2020 Meeting Start Time: 2:00pm (Eastern US) SPIFAN Chair: Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins Food Integrity and Innovation) INTRODUCTION (Sullivan – 2:00pm - 2:10pm) Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins) will call the Stakeholder Panel meeting to order and introduce/welcome all participants. In addition, the AOAC policies for Antitrust, Volunteer Conflict of Interest, and Use of Association Name and Insignia will be reviewed. II. GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES a. AOAC China Section – 2:10pm - 2:20pm Erik Konings (Société des Produits Nestlé S.A.) will provide stakeholders with an update on the AOAC China Section including Vitamins A&E Comparison & GB Pilot Study. b. Codex Updates – 2:20pm - 2:30pm Darryl Sullivan (Eurofins)/ Palmer Orlandi (AOAC) will provide an update on the Codex process in relation to the review and adoption of AOAC SPIFAN Methods. Dustin Starkey (Abbott) & Orlandi will discuss Sweetness. c. ISO & IDF Cooperative Update – 2:30pm - 2:40pm Marcel de Vreeze (ISO/NEN)/Aurélie Dubois (IDF) will share updates on the agreement between AOAC, ISO and IDF to develop standards. UPDATE ON THE NIST STANDARD REFERENCE MATERIALS (SRM) (Phillips – 2:40pm - 2:50pm) Melissa Phillips (NIST) will update the stakeholder panel on the status of the NIST SRM. IV. UPDATE ON PROFICIENCY TESTING INFANT FORMULA ADVISORY TASK FORCE (Gilliland/Phillips – 2:50pm - 3:00pm) Don Gilliland (Abbott) & Melissa Phillips (NIST) will provide an update on the current AOAC Proficiency Testing (PT) program for AOAC SPIFAN.
