EDUCATION/QUALITY PROGRAM – Task Force Recommendations General • Significant interest from stakeholders in a Training/Quality Program focusing on SPIFAN product matrices • Program to reside with AOAC as separate, companion to AOAC IF Proficiency Testing Program • 2x/yr; Cost Competitive; Registration driven Matrices • Min of 2 matrices in program at any given time – NIST Stored / Distributed – SPIFAN III Matrices – 1) IF w/ partially hydrolyzed protein, 2) Adult Nutritional High Protein – SPIFAN II powders – Retained for RM Training Library • Matrices Rotation Frequency – to be determined, flexible based on lab results and level of participation • Diversity – Representative of SPIFAN, IF and Adult Nutritional, easy vs more difficult composition Program Elements • Nutrients – per IF PT Program • Data – Returned to AOAC for review and assessment • Feedback to participants • Technical Support Provided (SPIFAN/NIST) • Completion certification provided
