Hangout Collaborate Zone features a versatile informal learning space for individual study or group work. With its modern design and retro diner look and feel, this zone reflects a casual vibe in which students can socialise, study, or work together. The Happy Daze Mobile Booths and Mars Turn Tables create a relaxed space that allows conversation to flow freely, thereby enriching collaborative and sociological growth. The Mars Tables are also available in a whiteboard finish to allow for spontaneous brainstorming, diagrams and ideas.

A University of Queensland study within the Science Learning Centre’s new informal learning spaces revealed 35% of students utilised the spaces for group activities, 30% for socialising and 19% for individual study.
