2014-PBGZ-Examens Engels

You ask the client to take (greater) ownership of his personal life. You know what the client wants

in life, are informed of his coping ability and know what he can realise in conjunction with his

network.

Demonstrate that you provide and organise the support the client requires to take (greater)

ownership:

- make agreements with the client about what he can do and where caregivers and/or

experts are required

- inform the client about the support and the agreements made

- act as a contact for the client and any third parties

- give feedback about the client to those involved

- where possible, involve the client’s social system in taking ownership of his life if he is

incapable of doing this, or take full or part ownership yourself

The client has reached optimum well-being, has an optimum right of self-determination and is

capable of taking ownership of his life independently and at his own discretion. If this has been

proven impossible, the personal assistant has put it into the hands of one or more representatives

from the client’s social system or has – whether temporarily or not – taken over control.
