times... Scored a career-high 28 points, connecting on 6 treys, leading the Toreros to an 87-81 overtime victory over St. Mary's in the WCC Postseason Tournament (3/ 4)... Reached double digits in scoring in three consecutive league games late in January.. Recorded a career high 5 assists and added 11 points @ Portland (1/29)... Played an incredible game against St. Mary's (1/ 22) when she scored a game-high 14 points, shot 8-for-8 from the free throw line, and grabbed a career– best 8 rebounds... Finished the season shooting 40% from the field... Averaged 24 minutes per game and scored 8.6 points per contest (second best for any Torero in 03-04)... Led USD in three-point baskets made (51). FRESHMAN (2002-03): Sidelined by injury until league play began in January.. Appeared in 10 games... Scored 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds helping San Diego defeat Portland (2/ 1).. Was 9-for-12 from the free throw line... In just 10 games Helvey totaled 7 steals... Blocked a pair of shots and connected on a three point basket. Led Esperanza to the 2001-2002 Sunset League Championship as a junior and senior.. . Named the league's MVP as a senior... Tabbed as a First Team All-CIF performer scoring 13 points and dishing out 4 assists per game during her final prep season .. Also First Team All-League player as a junior.
