Erin Sheehan, Assistant Director ofAthletic Development Erin Sheehan enters her second year at USO in the position of Assistant Director of Development for Athletics. She oversees the annual athletic giving program and helps organize all athletic fund raising events and booster clubs for the department. Prior to USO she gained a wealth of experience in this area w ith positions as the Development Officer for the San Diego Symphony; as Publishing Product

Wendy McReynolds, Assistant AD for Marketinl! & Promotions Wendy McReynolds begins her second year at USO as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Market– ing and Promotions. Wendy came to USO from Virgina Tech where she held the title of Director of Sports Marketing and Promotions since 2001. Prior to that she was the assistant for one year beginning in 2000.

Prior to her appointment at Virginia Tech she also gained experience at the University of Maryland where she was Assistant Director of Sport Market– ing for two years, at Wichita State for two years as the Assistant for Sports Marketing & Promotions and at the University of Florida Athletic Association as a Marketing Assistant. She earned her B.S. degree in Sport Management from Guilford College in 1994 and her M.S. degree in Sport Management from West Virginia in 1996. Andy Fee, Assistant AD for Athletic Facilities & Operations

Manager for Advanced Marketing Services, Inc. in San Diego; as Develop– ment Relations Manager for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, Oregon; and as Special Events Program Coordinator for the Office of Development at the University of Oregon. She received her M.A. in Arts & Administration (emphasis in Management and Marketing) from the U. of Oregon in 1998. She received her B.F.A. in Graphic Design, with a minor in Marketing, from Miami Univ. in Oxford, Ohio in 1994. Erin and her husband, Brian, reside in Chula Vista. Josh Lawrence

Director ofJenny Craig Pavilion Josh Lawrence begins his second year as the Director of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. He came to USO after 7 years at UC San Diego, where his re– sponsibilities included managing the RIMAC Arena. Josh's duties included coordinating all events, from athletic competition to the presentation of concerts and special events, as well as maintenance through–

Andy Fee is in his third year at USO, and his second in the position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities and Operations. Fee assists John Martin in overseeing all the sched– uling, field maintenance and purchasing for the department's athletic venues. He also is the sport superviserfor men's &women's cross country, along with men's golf. Fee came to USO from Arizona State

out the Sports Facilities at UCSD.

University where he was Assistant Director of Facility Operations for Athlet– ics the past two seasons. Before that he was Facility Supervisor for the ASU Student Recreation Complex. Besides his work at ASU, he developed Athletics and Management skills with the NFL Cardinals, Fiesta Bowl and PGA Phoenix Open. From Scottsdale, Arizona , he earned his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in History in 1996 from Arizona State University. Andy and his wife, Nicole, reside in San Diego. Dean Aresco Strength & Conditioning Coach Additional professional experiences include stints at the University of Connecticut as a Graduate Assistant, and at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego as the Interim Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. He earned his B.S. in Exercise Physiology in 1995 from the University of Connecticut, and recently completed his M.A. degree there in the same field. A NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he also is certified through USA weight lifting. Additionally, he holds memberships with NSCA, the U.S. Weightlift– ing Federation, and the American College of Sports Medicine. Dean Aresco is in his fourth season as USD's Strength and Conditioning Coach, coming to USO via Towson State where he was their head coach for three sea– sons.

Here at USD,Josh's responsibilities will include scheduling, staffing and all management aspects of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. In this capacity he will manage the daily operations of the facility, including event management and marketing of the Pavilion. Josh received his B.S. from UC San Diego in 1993 with a double major in Political Science and U.S. History. Josh and his wife, Lisa, were married this past summer.

Nick Mirkovich, Assistant Director ofMedia Relations

Nick Mirkovich begins his fourth season as the Asst. Dir. of Media Relations where he oversees a number of USD's athletic programs. His duties include coordinating radio and TV productions, producing media guides, press releases, brochures and game programs. Nick played a key role in the design of USD's athletic website. He handles the play-by-play webcast announcing for a majority of

baseball's road games. In May of 2000 he received a B.A. in Business Manage– ment from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. His professional experi– ence includes working with three different professional football organizations and three collegiate media relations departments. Nick was hired by the NFL's league office in New York to serve as the primary Media Relations contact for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe in 2001 after interning with the New England Patriots in 2000.

Derek Hillestad, JCP Asst. Director/Events Manager

Hans Straub, Asst. S&C Coach/ Dir. ofMcNamara Fitness Center Hans Straub is in his third year at USO but enter his first full season in the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach and Director of the McNamara Fitness Center. He came to USO in 2002 but took over these duties full-time this past February. He came to USO via Towson State University where he was a tight end on the football team for two years and earned a B.S. degree in 2002 in Sports

Derek Hillestad begins his third year as As– sistant Director of the JCP and Events Manager. He came to USO from Ball State University where he was a Graduate Assistant forSports Facilities and Recreation Programs in 2001-02. During this time he was also a Security Control Supervisor for the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. He also earned job related experience as an Event Operations Supervisor

for Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin; as a Program Assistant for the Department of Recreational Sports at Texas A&M; and as Event Co-Coordinator for the Department of Recreation Management at the University of Wisconsin– La Crosse. He graduated from Wisconsin-La Crosse with a B.S. in Recreation Management (2000), and received his M.S. in Athletic Administration from Ball State University in July of 2002.

Management. Prior to Towson he played two years of football at Millersville in Pennsylvania. From Camp Hill, Pennsylvania he graduated from high school in 1998 after earning letters in three sports - football , basketball and baseball. This Fall he'll begin a Master's Program in Excercise Science through the University of Texas-El Paso.
