Chemisorption

AutoChem II 2920 is an automated chemisorption analyzer that can provide the ability to conduct a

comprehensive array of precise studies of chemical adsorption and temperature-programmed reactions.

With this single instrument, you can acquire information about the physical properties of your catalyst,

catalyst support or other materials. It can determine percent of metal dispersion, active metal surface

area, acid strength, surface acidity, distribution of strength of active sites, BET surface area, and more.

AutoChem II safely performs pulse chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR),

desorption (TPD), oxidation (TPO), and reaction analyses and does it

automatically. This unit is also available in a Corrosion Resistant version

AutoChem 2950 HP is a bench-top, microreactor system designed for

catalyst characterization up to 70 atmospheres ideal for researchers

who want to conduct experiments and characterize their materials at

conditions approaching commercial operation.

Mercury Porosimeter

Micromeritics' AutoPore IV 9500 Series characterise a material’s porosity by applying various levels of

pressure on a sample immersed in mercury. The pressure required to intrude mercury into the sam-

ple’s pores is inversely proportional to the size of the pores. This is called Mercury Porosimetry, or of-

ten, “mercury intrusion.” The AutoPore IV provides high-quality analysis data and comes with enhanced

data reduction and reporting packages, faster pressure ramp rates, a more flexible and controllable

vacuum system, and a redesign of both the low-and high-pressure generation systems.

The Autopore IV capability is to measure pore diameters from 0.003 to

~1000 µm and it is available with two low and one high-pressure ports or

four low and two high-pressure ports, for increased sample throughput. The

HP ports come in 33,000 psi or 60,000 psi intrusions. Apart from facilities

and flexible reporting the Autopore IV features inbuilt Hg safety features.

Pore Fractal Dimensions - Quantifies the fractal geometry of a material Permeability - Reports the ability of the sample to transmit fluid.
