Roll-Kraft hosts regional training seminar for the tube and pipe mill industry

FEA RF software - FEA Finite Element Analysis; and tooling maintenance programmes. Keynote speakers for the event were Robert A Sladky, vice-president tube mill engineering, and Bret Molnar, senior technical advisor for Roll-Kraft. The event also hosted a tour of Roll-Kraft’s Canadian plant in Ontario. Mr Sladky noted that the audience was a good mix of personnel and experience, which included owners, presidents, supervisors, mill operators, maintenance, tool room personnel, and quality departments. Experience levels ranged from those with decades of experience to those who had literally only days on the job. Mr Molnar commented that the feedback from the audience was outstanding throughout the entire day, even at the break and lunch times, with a thirst for even more information on tooling design for exotic materials beyond stainless and titanium. Roll-Kraft’s next regional seminars will take place in Mentor, Ohio, at the LaMalfa Holiday Inn. Each event will be preceded by a tour of Roll-Kraft’s headquarters. Besides the regional seminars, Roll-Kraft sponsors in various locations, 95 per cent of all tube and pipe training and roll forming training is done at the customer’s location, with their personnel, on their mills.
