Sampling of k-space

Aliasing/Fold-over artifact: • Fold-over of signal from outside field-of-view into the image • Appears in phase-encoding direction

What to do about it: • Increase FOV in phase-encoding direction – (decrease the distance between k-lines) • Suppress signal from outside FOV
