New generation of tube draw benches

An automatic mandrel rod changing system, anautomaticdieplateadjustment and an automatic die change contribute to an increase in operator convenience. The change-over time is reduced to a minimum and the productivity is further increased.

The drive concept is optimally adapted to the customer’s requests. The drawing speeds are chosen according to the product requirements. The toothed rack drive system ensures a low vibration running of the drawing carriage. In order to avoid noise emissions, drop heights are avoided as far as possible, and handling systems with material protection and low-noise design are utilised.

DUE to the worldwide increasing demand for draw benches with drawing forces in excess of 5,000kN, Bültmann expanded its product range and developed a new generation of drawing machines. The design of this innovative draw bench allows the generation of almost any drawing force. Thus the productive capacity can be increased by more than 50 per cent.

Cutting innovation receives positive response

The innovative glued technology allows the use of new cutting materials for circular saw blades. With cermet or ceramic, ceramic additives are selected that are heat-friendly, and therefore higher speeds can run up to ten times. The Monster|Cut system can be used with full materials, pipes and profiles. With regard to the dental division and the cutting widths no restrictions exist, so the saw blades offer a universal application in the whole production work.

bonded inserts can be made as ceramic cutting by this process from a variety of materials, such as coated carbide, cermet and even non-solderable materials. Tests show that an increase in life is achieved by special coating of carbide inserts – depending on the material being worked, up to five times higher than conventional teeth. The harder the steel, the greater the service life advantage is. The basic bodies can be used up to 30 times, until they must be substituted. According to material mix, the stuck, coated applications can be post sharpened with usual sharpening machines.

THE launch of the new Monster|Cut system at Tube 2014 in D sseldorf received a positive response from the trade press and visitors, according to manufacturer Kohnle. The crucial difference to the conventional mounting method is that the teeth are not soldered or screwed, but glued. This opens up new possibilities in the manufacture of circular saw blades. Together with partner companies, Kohnle has developed a special adhesive, a fully automatic gluing machine and the corresponding fully automatic loading of the teeth. For individual or complete adhesion, only a single machine is necessary. The
