Crystal Chronicles - October 2017
From t he Manager ’ s Desk
Hello all and welcome to October’s edition of the Crystal Waters Chronicles.
Well, we have had a hot start to the Spring with record temperatures recorded for the month of September. As nice as the hot weather is let’s hope we get a break in it soon and some much needed rain. The swimming pool was opened last month and we have had quite a few comments on how nice it now looks after it’s refurbishment, especially after dusk with the pool lights on. Other positive news is that Crystal Waters Estate has been nominated for a CCIA Excellence Award in the Land Lease Living and Caravan Park Residential Sector. This is testament to all the work which has gone into turning it from an aging tourist caravan park into a class leading over 50’s Lifestyle Village. One of the comments we get most from people looking to move into this type of community is how nice the Village looks and what great facilities it has, compared to the other Lifestyle Villages they have looked at. I also think receiving the nomination is credit to all the staff here, who work incredibly hard to make this Village the wonderful place that it is and a place people are happy to call home. We will find out if we have been successful at the CCIA Awards for Excellence 2017 which is being held on the 16 th of October 2017 in Sydney. Other news this month is the first two houses on the new development are due in at the end of this month, once the roadworks have been finished. They will be on Sites 107 and 169, both are pre-sold and will be occupied by Christmas. Then in the New Year we will start filling up the rest of the empty blocks with another three homes on order and more in the pipe line. If you know of anyone who wants to buy a property in the Village, now is the time to tell them as we are fast running out of sites. Also, if you recommend a friend who subsequently moves into the Village, you could take advantage of our Rewards Scheme and earn a $500 Gift Voucher. Last month saw Ray and Margaret move into their new home on Site 140, after a long drive of over 1000 kilometres from their old home in Victoria. When you see them walking around the Village with their lovely scotty dog Hamish, please introduce yourself and make them feel welcome.
