POLICE BEAT Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Feb. 12. DUI arrests • Jessica D. Marsh, 33, 5945 Stewart Drive, Apt 913, Willowbrook, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and reck- less driving at 9:47 p.m. Feb. 7 after a crash at Route 83 and Burlington Avenue. She was charged and released to appear in court. • Daniel R. Barnett, 38, 6351 Hathaway Lane, Downers Grove, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08, illegal transpor- tation of alcohol, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle at 12:10 a.m. Feb. 10 in the 200 block of East Ogden Avenue. He was charged and released to appear in court. • Adam T. Blankenship, 40, 14366 W Melbourne Place, Lockport, was arrested for driving under the influence of alco- hol, driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08 and disobeying a police officer at 8:59 p.m. Feb. 11 after driving around a squad car that had closed the ramp at 55th Street and Route 83 due to a car crash. He was charged and released to appear in court. Vehicle goes missing The Land Rover dealership at 300 E. Ogden Ave. reported at 6:43 p.m. Feb. 6 that a loaner 2019 Jaguar E-Pace was missing from their lot. Village check forged A fraudulent check in the amount of $3,541 was written on a village of Hinsdale bank account at 7:45 a.m. Feb. 5. Scam call received Someone called a resident of the 1000 block of Chanticleer Lane at 8 a.m. Feb. 5 claiming to be victim’s grandson and instructing the victim to send $12,000 for legal fees. Hinsdale police officers made one DUI arrest and issued nine seat belt cita- tions, six distracted driving tickets and five speeding tick- ets during the department’s Super Bowl enforcement campaign Feb. 1-4. In addition, one motor- ist was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and nine others were ticketed for various violations to the Illinois Vehicle Code. The Super Bowl weekend crackdown was held to keep impaired drivers off the roads
