2013 Year in Review

Moving people, businesses and products is the core of our business. It’s what we’ve done for close to 100 years and Suddath ® is proud of the dedicated professionals that carry on our rich history. To remain true to this tradition, we must continually make improvements and enhancements to develop opportunities to do what we do best—and this year has been no exception. Despite rising fuel prices, driver shortages, increasingly stringent regulations and capacity limitations, Suddath continued to grow and gain market share. In 2013 alone, we added three locations to our domestic footprint, opened a customer service center in London, further strengthened our global supply chain management portfolio with the acquisition of a third party logistics provider, and completed the implementation of a customized operating platform. These advancements not only complement our existing business base but increase our presence in strategic regions around the world. Our people and partners, together with our newly enhanced executive leadership team, continue to set precedents in the industry. This commitment to excellence is also present outside of our sphere of business as Suddath strives to make a difference in the local communities in which we operate.

Whether it’s providing college scholarships to deserving students, donating non-perishable food items from a household goods move or using sustainable, recyclable packing materials, Suddath cares. It is a culture that our employees embrace and support throughout our organization. Looking back, 2013 will also be one of our most successful years due to our investment in enhancing the overall customer experience. This, as well as key performance improvements, will continue to translate into cost-efficiencies for many years to come. On behalf of the board of directors of The Suddath Companies, thank you to our clients, customers and partners for your continued support. And to our employees, for your unwavering dedication in ‘Setting the Standard for Moving the World . ® ’
