Services: A joint effort of concerned volunteers, Back to School Assistance is provided to families in need of supplies and possibly clothing for kids going back to school. Sign-up begins in July and the event is held a few weeks before school starts. All kids get a backpack and can then collect school supplies. Agencies involved include Salvation Army, Solutions Center, The Family Resource Center, ADVOCAP/Headstart, the Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Other Needs: Care INC takes referrals from other agencies for client needs which the agency does not have the ability to meet. Care INC refers to other resources which provide it, or uses its team of volunteers to meet the need.

This is an event held once per year to help girls who could not otherwise afford a prom dress to attend prom. Girls need a referral from social services or school counselor. Services: Provides maternity clothes and baby clothes up to size 24 months. Offers a one-time “layette” with proof of pregnancy (such as an ultrasound) to pregnant mothers, which includes blankets, baby clothes, etc. Bottles and diapers, as well as baby toys, given away when available. Car seats when available. Call for services and availability.
