Program: The Katie Beckett Program provides Medical Assistance (Medicaid) coverage for certain children with long term disabilities or complex medical needs, who are otherwise unable to get MA coverage, should apply to this program. Check the website for the current administrator for our county. LIFELINE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM A government-supported program that offers free or discounted cell phone and airtime each month to income-eligible customers. There are a number of program providers administering the service. Some administrators of the program include: QLink Wireless, Safelink Wireless, and Assurance Wireless. General information about the program is available through the FCC’s website or by calling 1-888-CALL-FCC.

Programs and Services: The Consortium is the initial point of contact by telephone to apply for these state-run programs: Badger Care; Food Share; Prenatal care & birth (underinsured), child- care subsidy, work-related medical expenses, free public health nursing, family foundation, family planning, health check with referral.

The Salvation Army believes in meeting the basic needs of individuals and families, young and old. Programs include: crisis counseling and referrals; food distribution; USDA Commodity distribution; personal hygiene products; emergency shelter (via motels when area shelters are full); emergency transportation assistance (Greyhound); clothing and household goods; furnishings (in cases of fire, homelessness, etc.); rental assistance (must be homeless or in danger of eviction); other Emergency Financial Assistance as necessary. The Pathway of Hope program offers case management services to families with children who have a desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and attain a level of increased stability. Eligibility : Each program has eligibility requirements, such as residency and/or proof of identification. All requests for assistance are handled by appointment.
