A TRADITION OF SUCCESS Over the past 16 years, San Diego volleyball has developed into one of the premier programs in the nation, hav– ing won six West Coast Conference championships ('97,'98,'04,'06,'07,'08), making 13 appearances in the NCAA tournament, including a pair of trips to the Sweet 16 in both 2004 and 2006. USO has also produced seven All– Americans (Petia Yanchulova 1998, 99; Devon Forster, 2004; Kristen Hurst, 2004, Lindsey Sherburne, 2004; Kristen Carlson, 2006; and Amy Mahinalani DeGroot, 2008), six WCC Players of the Year (Petia Yanchulova, 1988, 99; Jen– nifer Wrightson, 1994; Devon Forster, 2004; Kristen Carlson, 2006 and Amy Mahinalani DeGroot, 2008) and four WCC Defensive Players of the Year (Jackie Bernardin, 2003-05, Petia Yanchulova, 1999). USD has also produced 23 first-team AII-WCC performers. Over the past 16 seasons, USD has averaged 22.6 wins per season.
