CONDITIONS

Public Transit Morrisville’s residents have limited options when it comes to taking public transit. GoTriangle is the only transit service provider that

connects directly to the Town. GoDurham and GoCary offer greater connectivity to residents traveling from Morrisville to adjacent locations,

while WakeTRACS is an option for non-urbanized Wake County residents to travel to Morrisville.

GOTRIANGLE GoTriangle is the transit service provider for the Triangle region, reaching as far as Mebane to the west and Zebulon to the east. Figure 2-

23 and Table 2-7 present the GoTriangle routes as of November 2016 that connect to Morrisville and their corresponding bus stops.

These routes serve bus stops located in the northern part of Morrisville.

GOCARY GoCary, formerly known as C-TRAN, provides fixed route bus service along six routes in Cary. However, none of GoCary’s routes currently

connect to Morrisville. Travelers wishing to ride the bus to Cary from Morrisville or vice versa must use GoTriangle RTC-Cary-Raleigh or

transfer between GoTriangle and GoCary routes.

GODURHAM GoDurham provides transit service to Durham County via 15 bus routes. Taking the bus between Morrisville and Durham requires

transferring from a GoTriangle route to a GoDurham route, to GoTriangle Durham-RTC, or to GoTriangle route DRX (Durham-Raleigh

Express).

WAKETRACS Wake Coordinated Transportation Services Transportation and Rural Access, otherwise known as WakeTRACS, provides demand-response

transit service on weekdays to residents in non-urbanized Wake County. While WakeTRACS isn’t available to Morrisville residents, the

demand-response transit service is available to those who wish to visit Morrisville, but live in unincorporated Wake County.
