Branda began her employment at the University of San Diego in 2002 as the Assistant Director o f Operations for the E rnest Hahn University Center. She was respo nsible for th e clay-to-day operation of the facility ensuring a cl ean, fun and sa fe environment while motivating, mentoring and managing student staff that worked in the Center. Prior to USD, she taught Life Science and Physical Science at th e Community Learning Cen– ter fo r Mira Costa Communi ty College for six years. Additio nally, Branda served as the General Manager of two retail stores fo r fo ur years. J\ USO 1997 aluma with a B. A. Marine Science, emphasis in Bio lo– gy. Branda is currently working toward her Masters of Marine Science at USO

Brent LeVasseur is beginning his second year in the Torero athletic department as th e Academic Counselor and Compliance Coordinator. H e comes to USO from UC River– side where he was the athletics ticket man– ager. Prio r to that, Brent was a compliance assistant at USD where hi s responsibilities

Whhney Strain is in her second year with USO, and fi rst in the position of athletic operations manager. \Xlhitney worked as the administrative assistant in the athletics administrative office for the past year. In addition to her regular duties of helping to run the main office, Whitney took on additional challenges working in cornpLiance and eligibility certification, as well as in operations - serving as operations as– sistant during the 2009 WCC Basketball Tournarnent in Las Vegas. Before corning to USO, Whitney was

included researching bylaws and interpretatio ns, determining initial eligibility, updating Web status reports, and reviewing recruiting logs. Brent also has experience as a volunteer child development specialist/ tutor at the Boys & Girls Club in Michigan and as an elementary school mentor/ coach and tu– tor. Brent earned hi s MBA in Sports Business Management at SDSU, where he was honored as the valedictorian . H e earned his BA at Kalamazoo College in Michigan, where he ma1ored in mathematics and mino red in busi– ness. H e also played foo tball and baseball, becoming baseball team captain and NfVP his senio r year.
