Function

 Unit to make small wooden individual hives for native bees. Locate around school as art installation and to raise awareness/questions from other students.

ONE

 Unit will cover investigation, design, plan, build and evaluate of these unique designs.

Utilising technical innovation enables the development of innovative solutions to improve quality of life.

3D Printing and Packaging:

Project 2 (Criteria A, B, C, D)

Function

 Introduction to 3D printing and packaging design.  Can thoughtful design make the world a cleaner place?  3D printing and its impact on the consumer.  Packaging technology and its impact on the environment. Functionality, purpose, validity of 3D printing in manufacturing and home use.  Functions of packaging.  Packaging symbols.  Marketing a product.  Utilizing CAD to generate, evaluate and to aid in manufacturing a product.
