Students will be introduced to the various ways that robots and automation are used in our society. Ethical concerns related to the use of robots, artificial intelligence and automation of work, will be explored.

Students will learn the fundamentals of robots and develop robotic prototypes using Lego EV3 Mindstorms.

Students will creatively invent a website solution to raise awareness of an issue or problem in their community. We live in a digitally globalized world that has societal problems and inequities that may be improved through the development of a website solution.

Students will learn the fundamentals of web design and development, including experience in using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and bootstrap.
