Lime Tree November 2019

From the Manager s Desk

Hello again from Graham and Lesley

It’s November and that means “The race that stops the nation” The Melbourne Cup isn’t far away. The first Tuesday in the month. This year the date will be Tuesday the 5 th November. Lime Tree Village will be holding a special event to celebrate Melbourne Cup day. Come along and join in the fun. There will be sweep tickets sold leading up to the event. A prize for best hat and a lucky door prize will be awarded. We have a fun afternoon planned with some wacky races running of our own. All will be revealed on the day! From 12 ‘o’ clock onwards enjoy the sausage sizzle & nibbles that will be supplied. Have some fun and watch the race together. Also we will be holding the Lime Tree Village Garage Sale again. It was a huge success last year and the year before and we are looking forward to doing it all again this year as well. Bring out all your unwanted house hold goods and maybe make some extra cash. One persons’ trash is another persons’ treasure – as they say! Tables can be booked in the office. Graham will set them up on the day for your convenience. Further information in the following pages of this months’ Lime Tree Journal. To be held on Saturday the 16 th November. I think it will be great, we have had lots of early interest from some residents. The weather is definitely warming up and I am looking forward to BBQ’s on our verandah and swimming in our sparkling pool. Just a friendly reminder that any of your guests are welcome to enjoy the pool when accompanied by a resident. We held our Happy Hour / Sausage Sizzle on Friday the 20 th September. It was a lovely afternoon and it was nice to see some new faces coming along. A big thank you to everyone who came along firstly, those who brought along yummy treats and for everyone who pitched in and helped along the way. Check out the pictures in the following pages of this Journal. Also Friday afternoon drinks will be running during the daylight savings months. From 4.30pm. Bring along some nibbles & drinks. See you there
