Spanish explorers were the first Europeans to see the Grand Canyon. They were amazed at how beautiful it was.

The Colorado River is at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Some people go rafting on the Colorado River.

Tourists like to see the views at the Grand Canyon. Some tourists like to use binoculars to see the Grand Canyon better.

Some tourists like to hike in the canyon. It is a 10-mile hike down to the Colorado River.

Some tourists do not want to hike down into the canyon. They can pay to ride a mule.

The Grand Canyon is a tourist attraction. People visiting Arizona like to see it. Arizona’s slogan is “The Grand Canyon State”.
