STAY The Imperial Suite Square footage: 3,475 Nightly rate: from $27,000

The Imperial Suite offers views over the hotel’s French garden and inner courtyard. Everything here conveys elegance and comfort: the sitting room, furnished by the prestigious French firm Taillardat and embellished with sumptuous fabrics by Colony, conveys a refined atmosphere. The dining area, overlooking the French garden, can accommodate up to 12 guests for exclusive dinners prepared under the guidance of three-Michelin-star chef Eric Fréchon. Flooded with natural light, the main bedroom is decorated in floral tones by Canovas and Veraseta and features a sitting area and two large dressing rooms. The vast bathroom in pink Aurora marble is enhanced with gray-blue cabochons from the Savoie region of France and equipped with a shower-steam room. A second bedroom, furnished with sky-blue floral fabrics from Canovas, completes the suite. This spa comprises eight treatment rooms, including a Russian Banïya and a private couples’ suite. Treatments begin in the Eucalyptus Steam Room, to relax and soothe limbs in preparation for spa therapies, and they conclude with a ginger, lemon and honey infusion for a final boost to the immune system. One of the most luxurious and elegant hotels in Paris, Le Bristol is also one of Europe’s finest. It features exquisite signature suites, one of the finest spas in Paris (Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie) and one of the most stunning private gardens in the city, plus the iconic three-Michelin-star restaurant Epicure and one-Michelin-star brasserie Le 114 Faubourg. Located close to the Elysée Palace, the hotel first opened in 1925 and was named the first Palace Hotel in France in 2011. Today Le Bristol is part of the prestigious Oetker Collection, having been acquired by the Oetker family in 1978. A $160-million refurbishment (2010–13), a collaboration between hotel owner Maja Oetker and internationally renowned designer Yves Rochon, resulted in the addition of a new wing, a Royal Suite, two signature suites and Epicure.
