DAYS 1-5 BENOA, BALI, TO LAMARARAP From Benoa, embark and cruise to Komodo Island, where you’ll search for the legendary Komodo dragons, found nowhere else on earth. Pink Beach, named for the way the beach can appear to have a rosy hue in certain light, is a great place to relax or enjoy a snorkel or dive in the crystal- clear waters. You may spot a striped clown fish nestled among the protective tentacles of its sea anemone host, or see a grouper lazily swimming by a flamboyant soft coral. DAYS 6-11 KALABAHI TO AIDUMA ISLAND Meet the Abui people in the small traditional village of Takpala, on Alor Island. On the tiny island of Pulau Tellang, explore its hilly terrain, view its unique fauna and lush vegetation, and take in a beautiful sunset from the pristine, rarely visited beach. Visit the historic town of Banda Neira, which

was wealthy in its heyday, thanks to plentiful nutmeg, clove, and pepper trees, and snorkel the waters of the Marine Protected Area around Triton Bay, which offers everything from the tiniest pygmy seahorses to large and graceful whale sharks. On the southern coast of West Papua, Indonesia, lies unspoiled Aiduma Island, an oceanic paradise and home to a diverse and lovely soft coral forest. DAYS 12-17 AGATS TO DARWIN, AUSTRALIA The Asmat region is a nearly inaccessible forested wetland that has long sheltered Asmat tribes from the outside world. In Agats, the capital, visit the museum, with its exceptional examples of the Asmat’s renowned and vibrant woodcarving traditions. The village of Sangliat Dol, in the Tanimbar Islands, holds some of the best megalithic remains known in the area, including a monumental stone staircase
