Our Trust Your News November 2018

When it comes to setting an example about how to raise funds for her ward, one staff nurse on the RBTH Chemotherapy Unit made the inspired decision to rope in some of the fittest, fabulous bodies in Darwen to help. SN Joanne Dixon was joined by over 20 members from Delta Fox Cross Fit gym for the 12-hour challenge which raised a whopping £2,500 for the RBTH Chemotherapy Unit with funds distributed via ELHT&Me. “It was a great day, everyone pitched in and it was also great to see several of our patients and their families come along to show their support,” said Joanne. Cross-Fit Crazy Engie Site Manager MarkWoodcock proudly supports the first ELHT&Me Christmas Raffle which has benefitted from his company’s generous £1,000 donation. One lucky winner will take home the ‘grand’ prize in time for Christmas. Tickets – priced just £1 – are available now from the Main Receptions at RBTH, BGTH, Accrington Victoria, Accrington PALS, Pendle (Kath Haworth) and Clitheroe Community Hospital. Thank You, Engie Welcome Emma In its first 12 months of operations, ELHT&Me has gone from strength to strength and helped to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for much-needed ‘extras’ throughout the Trust. That success has led to the appointment of a new Community Fundraiser, Emma Heinicke, who started work in October.
