May, June, July 2019 Newsletter

Fellow Greystone Members, We are now in the midst of a glorious spring and our club has come to life in a big way. April brought spring rains, warm days and an explosion of color and growth. Our golf courses are in spectacular shape and we’re on the doorstep of the 2019 Regions Tradition with some of the greatest parties of the year for members, all packed into one awesome week. These are the months we live for. Our club will buzz with so many events, we’re providing you this newsletter to keep nearby so you don’t miss a single one. Leave it on the coffee table or kitchen counter opened to the calendar pages. Here are just a few highlights for May-July. On May 4, there’s a party just to appreciate YOU, the members. Food, drink, music and good times. The party will kick off with the Kentucky Derby with Happy Hour from 5-6pm. Make your reservations now! Cinco de Mayo is the next day. Regions Tradition starts on Wednesday the 8th and the week ends with Mother’s Day, the final round and Champagne toast to the champion. With amazing after parties virtually every night, that’s just the first twelve days of May!!! Our pool opens Memorial Day weekend & summer season officially begins at Greystone. June is packed with special events to go along with our regular fun of Wine Down Wednesdays, Family Night Thursdays, & Acoustic Fridays. We’ll all be spending a lot more time at the club. July brings another batch of events, but two I must mention here. Our Independence Day Celebration is one of the things I love best about Greystone. We invite the entire community to join us for a birthday celebration of the USA. Members get some special privileges, but I love that our families, friends and neighbors come together at our club for the spectacular show. At the end of the month, it’s time to celebrate another anniversary that is special to every member. We will mark TEN YEARS of the member takeover of Greystone. Please join me on Saturday, July 27 for a one of a kind celebration. We’ll have Wimbledon set up on the driving range (a spectacle on its own) then we’ll have music, dinner, cocktails and a celebration toast to our ten years of ownership. PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I’d like to take a moment to recognize some of our extraordinary staff. For many months there are dozens of Greystone employees working hard to achieve excellence at what they do. It’s called Greystone University and it is the brainchild of our General Manager, David Porter. The staff who have graduated spent months and hundreds of extra hours reading, working, experiencing and discussing how to become better at everything they do, while understanding what every staff member does, and even experiencing what it’s like to be a member. The graduates are wearing special round name tags. Congratulate them when you see them. They are striving for excellence, the least we can do is be excellent members as well.

I hope you all make our club the centerpiece of your spring and summer life. We have a treasure here at Greystone, and this is the best time of year to enjoy it.

All the best,

Matt Scalici Club President, 2019
