This Bill provides for t he increases from July in the rates of social we l f a re paymen ts an- nounced in the Budget and for other connected matters, amends and extends the Social Welfare Acts, 1981 to 1990, the Pensions Act, 1990, S.69 of the Health Act, 1970 and S. 285 (2) of the Companies Act, 1963. Presented by the Minister for Social Welfare 14/3/91. Passed by both Houses of the Oireachtas 26/3/91. Present Position: Enacted. explanatory memo). The primary purpose of this Bill is to prohibit anti-competitive practices and agreements and the abuse of dominant positions in the market. These provisions are based on Articles 85 and 86 of the Treaty of Rome and will apply to all Bill, 1991, (with

The purpose of this Bill is to give effect to the provisions of Directive No. 85/374/EEC of 25th July, 1985 of the Council of the European Communities on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States of the European Communities concerning liability for defective products.
