• Disposal of hardware and software involves ensuring that it is completed appropriately • Old or obsolete hardware, software, or data usually will contain customer and/or employee confidential information • Storage and transfer of software and/or data should be completed in a planned and controlled manner • Ensure required archived data is maintained accordance with record retention requirements • Destruction of hard drives should be completed to prevent reuse or recapture of any data- (secure wipe of all software and data)
