BUILDING COMMUNITIES

At Villawood, we take great pride in ensuring that the communities we create positively impact on the futures of our residents and on that of the planet. We value social sustainability as much as environmental and economic sustainability.

We look to the past as well as the future, by delivering innovative communities – to leave a lasting legacy that everyone can be proud of.

ALL-ELECTRIC COMMUNITIES When it comes to creating cleaner, greener, more sustainable housing, Villawood is well ahead of the curve. It’s good for the planet and healthier for families. Switching from gas to electricity reduces CO2 emissions and is cheaper and more efficient. It is the way of the future. Villawood communities set a new standard of sustainable living and path to positive change. There are a range of beautiful sustainable-designed homes available right now that offer high standards of liveability and energy efficiency, with the added benefit of year-on-year savings.

VILLAWOOD HONEY For each block of land sold, Villawood gifts the equivalent amount of land to the people of Victoria in Kamarooka Forest, Bendigo, preserving it for future generations and protecting the habitat of precious plants and animals. 578 hectares of forest land has been donated back to our National Parks network to date. This protects the equivalent of 290 Melbourne Cricket Grounds' worth of natural forest.

Kamarooka is also home to the bees that produce Villawood’s delicious own ‘brand’ of honey.

ROYAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL GOOD FRIDAY APPEAL Our largest philanthropic initiative, the Good Friday Appeal Charity Home Auction, raises funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. Through this program Villawood donates a block of land with a home built by Henley, with all proceeds from the auction donated directly to the hospital. Around $9.4 million has been raised for the Royal Children’s Hospital through the Good Friday Appeal Charity Home Auction since our involvement began in 2010.
