The interior of this penthouse is another canonical example of Boris Uborevich-Borovsky’s individual style. The discreet colours are tactfully complemented by metallic elements of furniture and décor. Strict geom- etry along with elaborate details create a feeling of dynamical development of the space. Though designed in restrained colours, the interior does not look dull and monotonous. This space is full of life that shows in the motion, interaction of shapes. At the same time, the interiors are filled with an atmosphere of tranquil- lity. This effect was achieved, among everything else, through a combination of large grey and white surfaces and a smooth distribution of natural light falling from the windows across these surfaces. As usual, UB. DESIGN Studio has had a strong focus on lighting. Soft natural light is evenly distributed in space thanks to the use of panoramic windows that by their shape and size are visually reminiscent of light panels and serve as interi- or elements along with everything else. As in many other projects designed by Boris Uborevich-Borovsky, light plays, in fact, a shape-generating role and creates a feeling of space and airiness.
