While supplying the same high-end builders as well as municipalities and school districts, Teague Lumber has developed a reputation for serving professional contractors while still taking care of the walk-in, DIY customer with a Pinterest project they want to conquer. “We’ve come a long way with revamping our online presence and making sure people who aren’t building entire houses still feel welcome in our store,” Gilley says. “We can really share our knowledge through things like blog posts and social media. “Since so much of our reputation is word of mouth, customers are hearing about us from people who work in the building industry,” she says. “We serve that industry and put a lot of focus on that customer, but we don’t want to put off a DIY customer with a smaller project.”
