employee an extra 2.5 hours per week 9.4.4.2 If an existing employee is working a night shift, but scheduled to work the day shift, causing lunch not to deduct properly. 9.4.4.2.1 Go to assign schedule, insert a line and assign them the new schedule to be effective on that pay period (must be the beginning of the pay period). 9.4.5 ALL SUPERVISORS ARE DISCOURAGED FROM PERFORMING ANY ACTIONS UNDER ASSIGNED SCHEDULE, BUT THEY MAY WORK UNDER MANAGE SCHEDULE!! Leave Requests/Leaving Early 9.5.1 A 7.75 hour per day PC user who takes 2 hours of sick leave for a doctor’s appointment will only show 5.75 hours worked on their timesheet. 9.5.1.1 In the comments, a PC user would say they worked from 7:30 am – 1 pm, and input a leave request for the remainder of the day. 9.5.1.2 PC users can also choose to offset the remaining hours if worked over on other days to offset leaving early; but it must occur in the same workweek. 9.5.1.3 Make sure the end of week totals add up to a full workweek. 9.5.2 Make sure leave requests do not create overtime for the clocker on any scheduled workday. 9.5.2.1 If an employee used 2 hours of petty leave, then clocked in and worked past their schedule (making the punch totals equal 8.5), the leave needs to be reduced or deleted altogether. 9.5.2.1.1 The employee can only be paid for 8 hours, so the leave request will be deleted and credited back to the employee. 9.5.2.1.2 Make a note on the spreadsheet that the employee worked over, and they cannot have leave and overtime in the same day (time adjustment). 9.5.2.1.3 When the PU admin is run, it will capture the time adjustment there. 9.5.3 If a clocker uses leave in the middle of a shift, the in and out time must match the amount of leave requested. 9.5.3.1 There should be another in/out time for the day (total 4 punches). 9.5.3.1.1 A block of time should be missing that adds up to the leave request time, with leave being adjusted only if the employee returns early. 9.5.4 If a clocker takes leave at 11 am, be sure to check the assigned schedule to make sure there is an in/out time and whether or not a meal has or hasn’t been deducted
