Altay Öktem (born in İstanbul, 1964) is a Turkish poet, writer and researcher, and a medical doctor with current practice. He studied at Kuleli Military High School and then medicine at Trakya University. He has written for such periodicals as Yasakmeyve , Hayvan , Penguen , Öküz and Roll . He has published at least seven books of poetry, four novels, three collections of essays, various research volumes, and a book for children.

NALAN BARBAROSOĞLU “A Long-Awaited Arrival” (short story)

Nalan Barbarosoğlu (born in Adapazarı, Turkey, 1962) studied philosophy and logic at Istanbul University. She has published four collections of short stories and a book of essays, and written for periodicals variously. She is currently editor- in-chief of the short story magazine, Eşik Cini .
