Hypoallergenic Claim (Annex IV) This claim can only be used in cases where the cosmetic product has been designed to minimise its allergic potential. Robust reliable scientific evidence should be available. It must not contain any known allergens or allergen precursors. SCCS/1567/17 contains details of potential testing required. Animal Testing Claims It is a requirement of the Cosmetic Regulation that products are not tested on animals. To make this claim may be considered disingenuous as no cosmetic should be tested on animals. You may need to consider a change in wording along the lines of an “Against Animal Testing” ethos.
