dossiers, such as the enlargement of the FIFA World Cup and the release period for the FIFA World Cup 2018 (see FIFA Matters for more details). Moreover, an update was given on the correspondence between ECA and FIFA relating to “Football Leaks”: according to FIFA, the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) is very secure and to date there is no proof that any of the information made publicly available by “Football Leaks” originates from the TMS. It was suggested to look into running an external audit to identify possible security breaches in the FIFA TMS. The Board was also informed about recent developments relating to the set-up of the new Club Competitions SA as well as the relationship with FIFPro and EPFL respectively. Extensive updates on the latter will be given at the upcoming General Assembly in Athens on the 27th and 28th of March. The next meeting of the ECA Executive Board is scheduled to take place in Madrid on the 28th of February. ECA CLUB MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME The first edition of the ECA Club Management Programme is now entering its final stage. Following the hosting of the fifth session in Madrid, and the organisation of an “extra session” in Stockholm, the sixth and last two-day seminar will be held in Poland at the end of May. Fifth Session in Madrid The fifth session of the ECA Club Management Programme, the first in 2017, was successfully held on the 10th and 11th of January in Madrid. Focusing on both Match Operations and Legal & Integrity matters, the two-day event was organised at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of current UEFA Champions League title holders Real Madrid CF. The first day entirely focused on Match Operations, from both a theoretical and practical point of view. Accordingly, during the morning session the 35 ECA CMP participants were confronted with different case-studies and success stories from a variety of speakers including the host Real Madrid CF, Juventus as well as UEFA and KPMG. ECA GENERAL ASSEMBLY The 18th ECA General Assembly will take place on the 27th and 28th of March 2017 at the Hilton Athens Hotel, in the Greek capital. On Monday afternoon, the five ECA Working Groups will meet, prior to the staging of the football tournament and the Official Dinner. Finally, during the Plenary Session on Tuesday morning, you will be updated on the most important ECA dossiers. The official invitation, together with additional details on the programme and the draft agenda have been sent to all of you at the beginning of February, and you are kindly asked to register before the 10th of March.
