AUTHORISED LEAVE

There will be times when your team members may require short or extended periods of paid or unpaid authorised leave from CBL to tend to family matters, emergencies, etc. To support this, we have a range of policies which provide clear guidelines explaining eligibility, entitlement etc.

As a Leader and a Line Manager within CBL it’s really useful to have an understanding of the policies covering Authorised Leave .

Our policies cover leave such as; Maternity & Paternity, Shared Parental, Adoption, Parental, Bereavement and Emergency .

In the event of Jury Duty the employee must present the court citation to you and notify payroll via email or post, prior to attending court . The employer’s loss of earnings section is completed by payroll and returned to the employee along with guidelines of what to do if they are selected for court. The court may provide a cheque in support of expenses , the employee MUST notify payroll of the value of the cheque in order for this to be processed for tax and NI purposes. The employee retains the cheque and this value is grossed and then deducted from their salary.
