INTRODUCTION TO GRIEVANCE

Why do we have a Grievance Policy?

What are the types of issues or complaint that form a Grievance?

A policy provides us with a formal mechanism to enable our employees to discuss any problems or issues that they have in order that these can be resolved as quickly and effectively as possible .

▪ complaint relating to duties/responsibilities ▪ working conditions ▪ working hours ▪ terms and conditions ▪ treatment at the hands of fellow workers ▪ concerns about health and safety ▪ breach of statutory employment rights ▪ any other issues affecting employment

Why is it important to handle Grievances right?

Failure to handle grievances well, and to follow the policy, can result in poor employee relations and potentially increase the risk of employment related claims against Chivas Brothers Ltd.

There are 3 stages in the Grievance Procedure :

▪ Informal ▪ Stage 1 ▪ Stage 2
