Bob Flagg Receives Prestigious President’s Award Presented by Mark Chinnock

MSA President Mark Chinnock recently honored one of the MSA’s most dedicated and pas sionate members, Bob Flagg, with the 2024/2025 President’s Award. This esteemed award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedica tion to the association, as well as the sport of snowmobiling as a whole. Mark presented the award to Bob Flagg, citing his tireless efforts and selfless contributions to the associ ation over the years. According to Mark, the award is not a popularity contest, but rather a recognition of an individual who has consistently put the interests of the MSA above their own, making difficult decisions and taking unpopular stances when necessary. Mark praised Bob for his unparal

leled passion for the sport and the association, noting that he has been an integral part of the MSA’s success, not just during his term as Presi dent, but for many years prior. “Bob has been a cornerstone of the MSA, always putting the association’s inter ests first, even when it meant making tough decisions that weren’t always popular”. Bob’s involvement with the MSA dates back to the early days, and he has been an active member of his local club, the Jefferson SnoPackers, for many years. In fact, his MSA mem bership number #1 is a testament to his long-standing commitment to the association. After working his way up through the ranks, Bob was elected President of the MSA in 1993-1994, a role that showcased his leadership skills and dedication to the sport.

In addition to his presidential term, Bob has served on numerous commit tees, including the steering committee and the bylaws committee, which he currently chairs. He has also been the MSA’s webmaster since the associa tion’s website was first launched and has been responsible for the organi zation’s IT needs. The President’s Award is a well-de served recognition of Bob Flagg’s tireless efforts and contributions to the MSA. His passion, dedication, and commitment to the association have made a significant impact on its suc cess, and he continues to be an inspi ration to his fellow members.
