It shows that you were all mentored by Dave Silvia back in the learning curve days! It was definitely time well spent! Stay tuned for any upcoming events or news. It’s looking like we’ll have a few proj ects to do in the off season! More Smileage! Laurie Another second Wednesday night and Trail Master Les held the last snowmobile club meeting of the season. It was a good meet ing. Karen Sprague Bridge rework is to be done this summer. Les and Dave have made a repair list. A raffle committee will be formed and there will be a few committee meetings this spring. If your family want’s something minor, but important to do while you’re out enjoying the trail’s this summer, see Les. The winter will soon be over, but in the off season I know Les will keep things rolling. We didn’t get much ridable snow this sea son. I was lucky and got 4 rides in. The last ride was nice. I was on the High Road, (dirt road) and it was groomed. It’s not a trail, but lots of riders use it. Les grooms it when taking a shortcut to our trail system. It’s well traveled by riders from the northwest. I was able to ride safely at 40 MPH for miles and miles. TREE WORK: Les needs you. There are 4 trees down on various spots on our trail sys tem. Can you help by clearing 1 away? Thank you everyone for taking the time to read about our snowmobile club and our spe cial little town. See you next winter. mikere millard42@gmail.com GRAND LAKE sc Grand Lake Stream, ME

Sorry I have missed a couple of publica tions. What a wonderful club that we have, we are gaining more people who want to be involved all the time. Some want to learn the grooming side of things; others want to do trail work. And some want to help inside of the clubhouse. Please come and join us. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM. With the second Wednesday meeting being a potluck meeting (and we have some amazing cooks that are creative. We get to eat some very delicious foods.) At our last meeting, we met with some gen tlemen from the Paul Bunyon Snowmobile Club, who is located in Bangor. We are neigh boring towns and we have connecting trails. We discussed how we can help each other along with many other topics. We decided as a group to invite some more local clubs with connecting trails to a meeting on May 21st at 6 pm at the Penobscot Snowmobile Club. All are welcome to join us. We will be hosting a fish fry and ham din ner on Saturday March 29th from 3 to 6 pm. If only I would have made last month’s paper you might have been able to join us. We will be having our annual Kevin Call Jr truck pulling event July 19th right at 795 Bog Road in Hermon please come and have some fun with us. Deanna Although you will be reading this well into April, it is only mid-March as I write! We have had some decent sledding these past weeks. But Mother Nature continues with the teasing, and recent rain washed away a good deal of the snow base. This was followed by fresh snowfall and more snow is still possi ble in the coming weeks. You may recall last year the 24” snow (Shirley’s measurement) on March 24 th . As spring draws nearer, there can be some “sweet spots” for sledding well into April. The maple syrup season is upon us as well as spring sledding. You can take an early morning “crust” ride, maybe even to a maple house. Maine Maple Sunday is always a per fect opportunity! (4th Sunday in March each year), or Shirley Maple Open House/Pancake Breakfast (late March or early April-check Baker’s Maple Syrup fb page). Be sure to do your riding in the early hours when the tem perature is below freezing and the trails are still firm. Later day will cause ruts and dete rioration, so you want to avoid that. If it’s too late to do this for this year, keep it in mind for future years. It really can be “sweet”! TRAILS We offer congratulations to our 3 newest certified groomers: Derek, Jeremy, and Chas tity. Grooming is always ongoing and will continue as long as needed. This season we will finish up with the small equipment how ever, as we have encountered a recent problem with obtaining parts for our large groomer: the parts are only available from Canada and all shipments have been put on hold due to the new tariffs. Canada will not allow any ship ping to the US at this time. We trust that our governments will get things “squared away” so that all of us may continue to import parts, sleds etc. into our country without problems. Maintenance is always ongoing, but more so for the spring to fall seasons. Areas that sustained damage from washouts over the winter will get needed repairs and trimming will happen into the fall. We will be mindful of the ongoing logging and will have to “stay tuned” to see which trails will be affected for our sledding next year. Summer work also includes working with our landowners to secure the trails for 2026. A big thank you to all of our landowners as we couldn’t sled with out them! SHIRLEY BOG TRAIL BUSTERS Shirley, ME

The Annual Poker Rally at the Bridgton Community Center was a great success. 133 families and children, including snowmobilers and non-snowmobilers, turned out for this fun event. Mary Corthell (Club Treasurer) presented a donation check for $400 to Darcey Pomerleau, director of the Bridgton Community Center.

kept busy recently at a sledding party on Gammon Hill in town. The kids would slide down the hill and given a ride back up the hill by snowmobiles. Everyone had a great time and sledding made easy and tireless. We had a good meeting this week with good attendance. The main topics were repairing at least three bridges this summer. Last year it was nine bridges, so making progress. We also discussed plans for our yearly land owner appreciation cook out June 1, avoiding Memo rial Day weekend as we have done in the past. Many people were camping or busy with other plans over the holiday. We will finalize details at the April meeting. The guys will be turning in trail work hours soon so the grant applica tions can be submitted. Club Reporter, Leah Frechette BRIDGTON’S PLEASANT MOUNTAIN sc Bridgton, ME Winter is fickle. Bridgton’s Pleasant Mountain Snowmobile Club (formerly Bridgton Easy Riders) would like to thank our supporters, MSA, and the snowmobile community for another great winter season! Even though the snow left early this year we did have successful club trips to Millinocket in February and to Jackman in early March. Many of our club members crossed the border for a day ride into Canada. Club members Mark and Deb Fox hauling kids up the hill at the sledding party on Gammon Hill in Buckfield

Thanks for doing your Snow Dance—You can stop now. We all look forward to a better winter snow season next year! Bill Preis PMSC Club Correspondent EASTERN REGION Well, I’m going to take it that the beauti ful robin that landed in our yard last Sunday knows what is coming. Albeit he was a tad bit early as it was very cold but show up he did. With that said, spring is just around the cor ner. It was a good season for us here at Ebee mee. We started our grooming schedule the week of January 19th and the last trip out was on March 3rd. That was a full six weeks of grooming for us. I think we are VERY lucky we are in a nice little snowbelt! I want to thank all of you for your continued support of this “little club that can”. A recap would certainly include the suc cessful rebuild and reinstall of the Gauntlet Bridge. A project that was unexpected but completed successfully thanks to the skill set of our two contractors Ron Mullins Weld ing and TRAMM Enterprises. Thank you again to John Troyan of Northwoods Home Inspections for taking the lead on this project. Great job! On that same subject, thank you to EVERYONE that contributed to our success ful Go Fund Me. We are complete now! BIG ESC SHOUT OUT and thank you to our many wonderful landowners: Prentiss and Carlisle, Katahdin Forest Management, Amer ican Forest Management, SWOAM. Thank you to Wagner and Andrew Brown for the use of your property off the ITS 111 and US route 11 for the Ebeemee Snowmobile Club Park N Ride. It saw a lot of use this winter once again. This is a huge help safety wise as it keeps the trucks and trailers off US route 11 at the cross ing. And also, thank you for the great commu nication on the logging operation. We really appreciate the real time information! I also want to shout out to AMC’S Caro lyn Ziegra for all of her help getting the John Ouellette bridge replaced so we could bring Sagamore’s Dream through. That trail was EBEEMEE sc Ebeemee Twp, ME
